I’m often drawn to documenting people who identify as women as coming from having that same experience myself, I feel there is a deep level of trust between the subject and me. I’m fascinated by the power women create being behind the lens, the beauty and the demand to be looked at. I think there is a slightly different atmosphere that can be created when the photographer can truly understand what it is like to identify as a women in the world we live in. There is no exploitation, nothing to gain, I only want to capture the persons true essence and to me it almost becomes a union between us both, in which an image is then created.
