Upon finding countless images from the 80’s of my mother and her friends dressed up to go see The Rocky Horror show, my fascination with the play was sparked. ‘Rocky Horror Reimagined’ draws on elements of various characters in the play and recontextualises them in a dream like studio setting. With themes of performance, dance and identity already running through my work, RHS provided a theatrical display of self-expression that I tapped into. I collaborated with stylist Millie Sinclair and makeup artist Hannah Green to create my own set of characters who pay homage to the play that started it all and provides so many people with courage to become anyone they want to…. for the night.
